Tape on Your Glasses is Necessary for Entrance!

As we bundle up for the winter time, let's consider some new traditions: instead of warming up in front of a fireplace, why not in front of computer on Ned's Nerd Herd? With something for everybody, this winter won't feel cold at all if you stop by NNH every once and a while for some holiday cheer :)

Anime Overload!

Today was a big day for Pokemon, in more ways than one. More English names have been anounced, this time by gaming site IGN. Deerling (Japan: Shikijika), Basculin (Japan: Basurao), Watchog (Japan: Miruhoggu), and Swanna (who keeps its Japanese name). The names of Ash's new main protagonist friends have been revealed as well: Iris will remain unchanged, while Dento is now Cilan (This is gonna be harder to get used to than the whole Kibago-Axew thing). In the Best Wishes episode that aired today "Yagaruma Forest! Kurumiru and Arty," Ash caught a brand-new, unforseen Pokemon. This shocking capture brings his Unova team to 7 Pokemon, an unprecidented event. Ash will have to rotate his team from now on, which should be exciting because he never usually has Pokemon above the standard maximum of 6 in his party. The Pokemon, of course, is... KURUMIRU! Kurumiru, otherwise known as Sewaddle in English, is a Bug-type Pokemon that attacked the Pokeball-wielding party and did not originally like Ash. This changed however as Ash saved it from a near-death encounter. I thinks it's ironic that Ash already has 7 Pokemon, while Iris only has two (you think she would take a hint and get more Pokemon and maybe come up with a goal like everyone else). The Zuruggu/Scraggy and C-Gear Events are active now for a limited time as well.

Only two months 'til March!
