Tape on Your Glasses is Necessary for Entrance!

As we bundle up for the winter time, let's consider some new traditions: instead of warming up in front of a fireplace, why not in front of computer on Ned's Nerd Herd? With something for everybody, this winter won't feel cold at all if you stop by NNH every once and a while for some holiday cheer :)

Eevee-lutions, Anyone? (And Axew's Anime!)

In the anime department last week in Japan, IRIS ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING! Pushing on to Nimbasa City, Ash and the gang (with the new addition of Bianca to their party) encountered a trickter Emolga who used its seductive move "Attract" to bend others' willpower and get free things such as berries. Iris caught the Emolga after the two grew closer during an attack by a swarm of Swoobat. This brings Iris' current team up to a grand total of 3 (she has Axew, Excadrill, and now Emolga; how ambitious >___< ).

Moving on, next week in Japan, the Pokémon: Best Wishes anime will feature"Emolga VS Snivy! Volt Switch Chaos!" It appears that TCPi has no intention of airing the skipped episodes as the result of the earthquake at the current moment. In the newest installment, Iris and Ash have their second battle with each other, this time between Emolga and Snivy; however, for some reason, Emolga's "Volt Switch" attack keeps going haywire and sends out Pokémon from Ash and Cilan's teams instead of just Iris' as it should. To see the climatic resolution, Japanese viewers can tune in on March 31st. Broadcasting on April 2nd in the USA is "The Bloom is on Axew!" The plot revolves around Axew, who falls from a tree and gets stuck in the antennae of an unsuspecting Scolipede. This episode marks the first appearance of Iris' other Pokémon, Excadrill. It is the nineth episode of Pokémon: Black and White.

Recently, the Pokémon Company's website has been updated with a new game. The game is similar to the one in Japan from which players won one of Eevee's seven evolved forms at random with a special, alternate ability and could download via the Dream World once connected to the Global Link system in Pokémon Black and White Versions. To play the US version, you must open an account or login if you already have one and beat the game (which is similar to "Breakout" or "Brick Breaker") and then choose (yes, choose!) an Eeveelution which can be downloaded later this spring once the Global Link opens. You may not rechoose once you have already chosen.

Peace, love, Pokémon!
