Tape on Your Glasses is Necessary for Entrance!

As we bundle up for the winter time, let's consider some new traditions: instead of warming up in front of a fireplace, why not in front of computer on Ned's Nerd Herd? With something for everybody, this winter won't feel cold at all if you stop by NNH every once and a while for some holiday cheer :)

MASS ANNOUNCEMENT: Pokemon Black and White 2, Kyurem Forms, Meloetta, and M15 (Axew's Anime!)

In a massive announcement, Junichi Masuda went on Pokemon Smash yesterday and unveiled two new Pokemon games for Generation V. Bypassing the predicted "Gray Version," he revealed the two games to be entitled Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2. The release of these games in Japan will coincide with the premiere of the 15th Pokemon Movie: June 2012. International release will follow in Autumn 2012.

And the next big question answered: version mascots. The two Pokemon gracing the covers of these games are named Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, respectively. These two Pokemon will star in the 15th Pokemon Movie together with Keldeo. The new movie poster can be seen here.

The poster also confirms the existence of Meloetta, the Melody Pokemon, at the bottom. According to the poster, the Legendary Normal/Physic-type will star in her own Pokemon short, Meloetta's Sparkling Recital.

In Axew's Anime next week, the upcoming Japanese Pokémon: Best Wishes episode airs on March 1st and is entitled "Mistralton Gym! Decisive Aerial Battle VS Skyla!!" In the episode, Ash challenges Flying-type Gym Leader Skyla to a Gym Battle. As for the United States, Pokémon Black and White: Rival Destinies continues with "Lost at the Stamp Rally!" on March 3rd. The plot of the episode revolves around the Subway Stamp Rally, which leads the gang to a battle against Emmet and Ingo. The episode is BW051.

Slipping under the radar for me at least, a new Pokemon event will be available in Japan this spring to commemorate the opening of the new Kyushu Bullet Train. Details can be read here. Highlights include a Pikachu with the move Extremespeed, a Groudon, and a Kyogre.
